Motto - ITZY

The location was selected to use the sun as a backlight, creating strong rim and hair light around the performers. The footage was recorded in Log so post-production could restore natural facial brightness and color while retaining the direction and intensity of the backlight.

The camera plan was researched and storyboarded in advance. One of the central movements travels from an extremely low, upward-looking perspective to a high, downward-looking perspective within approximately one second. The stabilized camera execution creates a motion similar to a compact robotic camera arm, while remaining responsive to the dancers and the live environment.

The film continues the collaboration established with the “Psycho” crew while giving the group a distinctly different visual setting and movement language.
